The Director of Payroll and Benefits provides strategic leadership for payroll operations, employee benefits administration, workforce reporting, and HR analytics across TLC Management's communities and support center operations. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance, optimizing employee benefit programs, delivering meaningful workforce analytics, and driving operational improvements that support both employee engagement and organizational performance. The ideal candidate combines strong payroll and benefits expertise with analytical thinking, process improvement skills, and a passion for supporting people through exceptional service. Payroll Leadership Direct and oversee payroll operations across multiple locations and entities. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing. Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, tax reporting, and compliance activities. Oversee garnishments, wage attachments, and payroll-related regulatory requirements. Maintain payroll system integrity and employee data accuracy. Develop and improve payroll processes, controls, and reporting. Benefits Administration Lead administration of all employee benefit programs. Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and employee communications. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Oversee open enrollment and benefit education initiatives. Review benefit invoices and conduct eligibility audits. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Supervise and mentor payroll and benefits team members. Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls. Lead process improvement and automation initiatives. Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous learning. IND123
Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. 3+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience. 3+ years of leadership experience. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax reporting, and employee benefits administration. Advanced Excel and reporting skills. Experience with ATS and ADP Workforce Now. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). Multi-site healthcare, senior living, or long-term care experience.
