Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Benefits Manager to lead and manage our employee benefits programs across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring our benefits are well-run, compliant, and meeting the needs of our employees. As a 100% employee-owned company, our benefits, especially our ESOP, play an important role in how we support and retain our team. You'll be the go-to resource for benefits questions, oversee enrollment and leave programs, and work closely with HR, payroll, and leadership to keep our programs running smoothly and efficiently. What You'll Be Responsible For Manage day-to-day administration of all employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans (401(k) and ESOP) Oversee benefits enrollment and eligibility in the HRIS system, ensuring accurate data and timely vendor reporting Serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers with benefits questions or issues Plan and run the annual open enrollment process, including communication and employee support Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA, medical, disability, personal leave) and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations Maintain compliance with federal and state laws including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and ERISA Work with HR, payroll, and finance to improve processes, reporting, and overall efficiency Manage relationships with benefits vendors and resolve issues as they arise Support employee understanding of benefits through clear, ongoing communication What We're Looking For Solid understanding of employee benefits programs and applicable regulations Strong communication skills and the ability to explain benefits clearly to employees at all levels Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and follow-through Organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once Comfortable working with HR systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel A team player who can work across departments and build strong working relationships Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Experience mentoring or supporting others in a benefits function Professional certification (CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) Why This Role Matters This position plays an important role in supporting our employees by making sure they understand and can rely on the benefits offered to them.
