This is a potential 1099 subcontracting opportunity contingent upon contract award . The proposed team will handle engagement management, day-to-day accounting, QuickBooks, grant accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation. technical expertise . Scope of Support NYS Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) preparation, review, and applicable certification OASAS fiscal reporting and compliance CFR schedules and supporting documentation Program and funding-source cost allocation Technical review of government grant accounting Year-end and audit-preparation support Coordination with the client's independent auditor, as applicable Form 990 / CHAR500 support, if applicable Qualifications Active New York CPA license Direct hands-on NYS CFR experience Experience with OASAS-funded nonprofit organizations Strong nonprofit and government-grant accounting knowledge Experience with multiple funding streams and cost allocation Nonprofit audit and 990/CHAR500 experience preferred Engagement Structure 1099 subcontractor or small CPA-firm teaming arrangement Primarily remote. The role is expected to provide specialized technical support, with increased involvement around CFR, audit, and year-end reporting periods. The broader proposed team will handle recurring accounting operations and client management.
