Essential Functions:
Facilitates and leads the entire onboarding & new hire orientation process for new employees & contractors. Manages high-volume onboarding workflows with competing deadlines. Identifies onboarding risks (delays, missing requirements, compliance gaps) and escalates appropriately. Ensures no candidate starts without full clearance and approval Applies established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Problem-solves onboarding barriers quickly and independently Maintains strict confidentiality and compliance standards while managing all personnel information In conjunction with the Employee Health works to ensure completion of all new hire pre-employment requirements. Collects, audits and processes all new hire paperwork to ensure compliance Reviews and makes recommendations for improving employee orientation process and implements recommendations upon approval from management. Assists in the scheduling of candidate interviews as needed. Participates in campus recruiting, career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, and social media. Ensures all onboarding activity aligns with approved requisition, position control number (PC#), and cost center prior to start date Conducts audits to ensure details on NOCA (Notice of Conditional Appointments) documents, employment offer details, and onboarding records for alignment with approved job data Performs other job-related duties as required.Employment Standards:
Completion of an associate's degree from an accredited college or university in human resource management, business administration, public administration or a closely related field preferred, AND. One (1)- Three (3) years of experience in a Human Resources role, OR.
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices in staffing and recruiting healthcare professionals, including nurse and physician requirements Job specifications and benefits to provide candidates with accurate information Understanding of preemployment requirements such as I-9 documents and E-Verify.Ability to:
Match candidate experience, knowledge and education to the needs of the Hospital recruiting efforts. Design, coordinate, and continuously improve new hire orientation experience Partner with departments (IT, Security, Staff Development, Employee Health) to ensure readiness for Day 1 Coordinate department handoff (manager meet & greet, first-day expectations Analyze, prepare and present data in familiar formats, using statistics to illustrate points and justify decisions. Work independently Drive initiatives Express ideas in individual and group settings Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. Collaborate with executive staff, physicians, and hospital employees. Manage high-volume onboarding workflows with competing deadlines Problem-solve onboarding barriers quickly and independently Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance standards Deliver a high-touch, service-oriented onboarding experience Employees must maintain all health requirements designated by Kern Medical.Supplemental:
