Job Description
The Role We are looking for a full-time, detail-oriented professional to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department. This position handles a variety of confidential payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, able to maintain confidentiality, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for confidential employees Process and submit weekly federal and state payroll tax payments Submit weekly 401(k) contributions Process confidential employee garnishments and EDD forms Review and process monthly health insurance invoices Track employee FMLA and other leaves of absence Complete and respond to Verifications of Employment (VOEs) Track Form I-9 documentation and expiration dates Conduct quarterly I-9 audits and assist with maintaining I-9 compliance Assist with onboarding new hires and completing required new-hire documentation Prepare and send offer letters Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews Assist the Human Resources Manager with various HR projects and administrative needs Maintain confidential employee information and records Knowledge and Skills Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines Strong organizational and follow-up skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience Ability to work independently while also supporting the HR team Previous Human Resources, payroll, benefits, or administrative experience is preferred The Conco Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
