Job Description
We are looking for an organized Human Resources (HR) Administrator to support workforce administration for a construction and contractor environment in Long Beach, California. This Long-term Contract position focuses on creating a smooth employee experience by coordinating onboarding, maintaining accurate personnel information, and serving as a dependable point of contact for HR-related questions. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to keep records, hiring steps, and employee requests moving efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a first point of contact for employees by addressing HR-related questions, providing guidance, and helping maintain a well-organized workplace environment.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires and returning field employees, making sure required paperwork and hiring steps are completed correctly and on schedule.
- Walk candidates through employment forms, compliance documents, and onboarding expectations to support a smooth start to work.
- Maintain organized personnel files and employment records while ensuring documentation aligns with company practices and applicable labor regulations.
- Review and update employee information to keep active and former worker records accurate, current, and easy to retrieve.
- Manage workforce data in HR and payroll systems, including assignment details, employment status changes, and related administrative updates.
- Work closely with operations and field leadership to anticipate hiring needs and prepare onboarding support for upcoming staffing demands.
- Route employee concerns and service requests to the appropriate internal teams and follow up to help ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to team meetings, safety-related initiatives, training activities, and other general HR administrative duties as assigned.
