Job Description
Job Summary A Pasadena-based organization in the banking and consumer lending industry is seeking an HR Admin for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an HR professional with 3-5 years of experience who is comfortable working somewhere between an HR Specialist and HR Generalist level, with a strong focus on HR administration, employee data, payroll check handling, records, and daily HR operations. The HR Admin will support a professional, service-oriented Human Resources team during a transition period while a permanent HR Administrator is being recruited. This is a strong opportunity for someone who values accuracy, confidentiality, teamwork, and steady exposure to core HR processes in a regulated business environment. The role offers the chance to contribute to a supportive HR function, assist employees, and help keep important people operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and assist with day-to-day HR operations.
- Process employee data transactions, including status changes, personnel updates, and related HR documentation.
- Manage department mail, live payroll checks, and confidential employee information with accuracy and discretion.
- Maintain employee files, HR records, and data within HR systems in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist with onboarding paperwork, employee documentation, and general employee inquiries.
- Support special HR projects and additional administrative duties during the transition period. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $62,400 to $79,000 per year.

Pasadena, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Process HR transactions, employee status changes, personnel updates, and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and data within HR systems.
- Prepare, distribute, and track live payroll checks while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support HR projects, onboarding documentation, employee inquiries, and department administration.
- 3-5 years of Human Resources administrative, HR Specialist, or HR Generalist support experience.
- Experience handling employee data, HR records, personnel files, and confidential documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, transaction processing, and recordkeeping.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks and support special projects.
- Customer-service-oriented communication skills and the ability to respond professionally to employee inquiries.
- Comfortable working in a structured HR environment within the banking, consumer lending, financial services, or similar regulated industry. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting payroll-related administration, including live check distribution or tracking.
- Familiarity with HR systems, employee databases, or HRIS platforms.
- Prior experience in banking, consumer lending, financial services, or another compliance-focused business environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly, support a team during a transition period, and maintain a professional office environment.
