This role is ideal for a early-career HR professional looking to gain hands-on experience across multiple industries. At ONEsource HR, we help small and mid-sized businesses navigate HR, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. As part of our team, you'll support a variety of client projects while developing practical experience in all areas of Human Resources. What You'll Do Assist the internal HR team with administrative and operational projects to support the firm's growth and client service initiatives Prepare employment-related documents, including offer letters, employee communications, and corrective action documentation Maintain personnel files, HR records, and document management systems in accordance with company and client requirements Assist with recruiting and onboarding activities, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordination Support employee benefits administration, including medical, dental, and vision enrollments, qualifying life event changes, open enrollment activities, and employee communications Assist with payroll administration by tracking employee hours, updating PTO balances, auditing payroll data, and supporting payroll processing activities Coordinate employee training, compliance requirements, and recordkeeping Support HR audits, compliance reviews, and personnel file audits for clients Create reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and tracking tools Assist with workflow automation, process improvements, and technology initiatives Support the development and maintenance of employee handbooks, policies, forms, and HR resources Help ensure HR records, processes, and employment practices align with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Partner with the HR consulting team on special projects Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience, with exposure to areas such as onboarding, recruiting, payroll, benefits administration, leave administration, employee relations, and compliance Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), HRIS platforms, CRM systems, and other cloud-based business applications Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality Working knowledge of California labor laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR best practices Experience in an HR consulting, staffing, or professional services environment is a plus Technology & Systems Experience (Preferred) Gusto or other payroll/HRIS platforms Zoho CRM or other CRM systems Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Workflow automation tools and online forms What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Curious and eager to learn Strong problem-solving skills Tech-savvy and adaptable Professional and client-service oriented Organized and process-driven Interested in employment law, compliance, and HR consulting Why Join Us?
