Full-time, On-site Who We Are:
McDowell-Craig is an innovative American manufacturer of superior quality steel office furniture and school furniture based in Southern California. For four generations, we have been committed to our customers and building furniture with great care and attention to detail
  • we are renowned for our innovation and quality along the West Coast. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Work closely with an executive to support the following administrative responsibilities: Assist with Payroll
  • weekly timecard calculations and entry into payroll software Assist with Accounts Receivable
  • invoicing customers with follow-up correspondence Assist with Accounts Payable
  • weekly running of payments to suppliers Assist with Compliance
  • reporting, deadlines, and reminders Assist with Human Resources
  • new hiring packets, employee materials, regulation updates Assist with short term & long term projects
  • implementation of new administrative software, support on-going safety programs, help organize, consolidate & maintain office documents Desired Qualifications Excellent communication and organizational skills required Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and time management skills A self-starter who takes initiative A natural curiosity and one who enjoys and moves comfortably through a full range of administrative duties across many departments Ability to interact with all levels of management Minimum High school diploma•some college preferred Proficient in Microsoft Suite & office equipment use 2+ years administrative assistant experience ideal•we will train Position Information This is an operational business-support position working directly with the company's CFO•it is not a personal assistant role
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 7:45am

Salary:
$28
  • $30 per hour
  • start rate based upon experience
Benefits:
Health Insurance Company observes most Federal holidays and has scheduled vacations (~up to 4 weeks per year) This is a hands-on position
