Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic Human Resources team as a Human Resources Assistant, where your energy and organizational skills will drive impactful HR initiatives across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR systems management. You will be a vital part of fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and streamlining HR processes to enhance workforce management. Duties Assist with talent acquisition efforts by supporting recruiting activities, including sourcing candidates through HR systems such as ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and conducting initial screening. Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are welcomed and integrated smoothly into the company culture. Support employee evaluation processes by gathering performance data, preparing documentation, and assisting with performance management initiatives. Manage benefits administration tasks such as enrollment, changes, and answering employee inquiries related to health plans, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), workers' compensation, and other benefits programs. Contribute to HR projects including change management initiatives, succession planning, affirmative action planning, and organization design efforts. Maintain accurate HR records using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) like Workday or SAP SuccessFactors while ensuring compliance with employment & labor law regulations. Support HR legal compliance management by staying updated on employment law changes and assisting with regulatory reporting requirements. Qualifications Proven experience in human resources management or HR department roles with familiarity in personnel administration and employee relations. Strong knowledge of human capital management practices including talent management, workforce management, performance management, training & development, and strategic planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel data analysis preferred), HR systems such as UltiPro or Oracle HCM, and ATS platforms like Lever or Taleo. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and effectively manage conflict resolution. Understanding of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, FMLA policies, and HR legal compliance standards. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities seamlessly. Ability to analyze data for decision-making purposes using Excel or similar tools; experience in payroll processing is a plus.
