We are searching for an HR Assistant to assist our personnel in a positive and productive way. This is a full time, non-exempt position located in Whittier, CA. Summary Under Supervision the Human Resources Assistant performs a wide variety of Human Resources administrative tasks to support the Human Resources Manager. The HR Assistant will provide customer service and administrative support for some or all HR functional areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation and training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond to employee questions in various HR-related topics Maintain all personal and confidential files Track and communicate evaluations, TB Test due dates and license renewal reminders. Prepare appropriate reports and correspondence as necessary Assist HR Manager to plan, create, train and implement company policies and procedures to all employees Assists HR Manager in recruitment strategies including pre-screening applicants, attend job fairs, post positions and other duties related to recruitment Conduct new employee orientation and complete onboarding. Prepare all termination paperwork Update and follow up with Therapists if any information is missing Update time off request forms and ensure that it is inputted in Code Metro Coordinate and track all student fieldwork on-boarding Must have the ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality and exercise a high level of discretion Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience/Qualifications/Education Bachelor's degree in human resources preferred 2-3 years previous experience in Human Resources 2 years' experience in a pediatric setting not required but preferred Must be detail oriented, good organizational skills and have strong writing and grammar skills Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc)
