Human Resources Coordinator

Adeo is a non-profit organization that supports people with brain injuries in residential settings. The work we do helps our residents take their place as full citizens of their community. Our Residential Brain Injury programs provide support to our residents with brain injuries so they may lead lives as independently as possible. General Statement of Duties:
Under general supervision, the Human Resources Coordinator performs a wide variety of professional human resources activities in the areas of recruitment, benefits coordination, payroll processing and workers compensation coordination; provides information and assistance to managers, employees and the general public; and assists with establishing a culture, policies and practices that are welcoming and person centered of all employees. None General HR Duties:
- Monitor and track candidates for open positions. Recruit candidates from diverse backgrounds and assist in hiring and retaining the best talent.
- Schedule, coordinate and complete onboarding of new hires as needed to fill open positions.
- Maintain up-to-date, complete employee/volunteer files including confidential medical files.
- Assist in the coordination and processing of benefit packages, including PTO and EIB; medical insurance; AFLAC; dental, vision insurance; retirement plans.
- Track mandatory training and certifications on all employees and notify supervisors of expirations before due date.
- Provide employee relations support for Adeo supervisors.
Payroll:
- Prepare payroll for processing.
- Process and complete payroll every other week
- Assist in processing termination checks, advance checks etc.
- Update payroll system as needed.
Workers Compensation:
- Complete first injury report with Workers Compensation Insurance carrier (Pinnacol).
- Monitor status of each injury report and coordinate appointments and services with Designated Medical Providers.
- Follow up with managers about supervising modified duties and return to work program when applicable.
- Maintain files on each injured employee and track progress.
OSHA:
- Assist Human Resources with implementation of regulatory required changes.
- Assist with MSDS program updates as needed, check MSDS lists quarterly.
- Keep managers apprised of requirements for orientation of new employees and requirements and safety standards within their area of expertise.
- Run required OSHA reports from Pinnacol system as needed.
- Assist with Personal Protective Equipment regulations and implementation of required changes.
Other Duties:
- The responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive of all potentially assigned tasks as changes to organizational needs arise.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Business, Management, Human Resources or 2 years' experience in administrative roles. SHRM-CP a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, highly organized, detail and solutions-oriented.
- Self-directed and able to prioritize work with minimal direction.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Strong computer skills utilizing Excel, Word, and Windows based systems.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.
Physical Requirement:
- Exert in excess 10-20 lbs of force occasionally
- Exert in excess of 0-10 lbs of force frequently
- Exert negligible amount of force constantly
- Lift, carry, push, pull, reach and move from place to place
