Calendar 250/Hrs 8 Paygrade 5 - $21.80 Charlotte County Public Schools boasts a competitive compensation package• for employees. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of current computing technology, use of MS Office Suite software, and capacity to learn and use HR-based software applications Ability to communicate, effectively, orally and in writing Ability to meet and deal professional and courteously with the public Ability to interact, professionally and courteously, with (diverse) internal and external customers Knowledge of human resources department functions and services• Preferred •Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.
Performance Responsibilities:
Verifies and confirms school recommendations for candidate-employment. Assists applicants (by phone, on computer, and/or in person) in completing applications. Assists in collecting, maintaining, and updating accurate applicant- and employee- records. Assists in the preparation and distribution of various personnel staffing-related correspondence. Counsels with applicants regarding requirements for employment, eligibility and certification. Provides information regarding available jobs and informs applicants of their hiring status. Verifies completed work (reports, e.g.) for accuracy and compliance with applicable state and federal laws and District policies. Participates in staff development activities applicable to areas of responsibility. Processes and distributes routine informational reports for various schools and departments. Processes and inputs data related to various personnel records, including new hires, promotions, transfers, supplements and reassignments. Establishes and maintains data files for personnel records-related information. Communicates directly with District employees and the public, answering questions and providing information as needed. Collects required payments in relation to new hires, third-party contractors, substitutes, and continuing employees to remain compliant with local, state, and federal requirements, including security and confidentiality requirements. Schedules meetings and assists in preparing meeting materials. Responds to individual requests for employee-specific information. Develops and maintains appropriate record-keeping systems. Assists in the preparation of various reports, including vacancy listings. Welcomes and directs (to other departments) building visitors from the central office lobby. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
