Gainesville based Packaging company is seeking an HR Assistant. Hours are Mon- Fri 8am to 5pm. Pay is $17 to $20. Your proactive approach will help streamline processes, enhance employee engagement, and uphold compliance standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your HR expertise while making a meaningful impact on our workforce. Duties Assist with talent acquisition efforts by supporting recruiting activities, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews using applicant tracking systems (ATS) like iCIMS or Workday. Facilitate employee orientation sessions to onboard new hires effectively, providing necessary documentation and training resources. Support performance management initiatives by collecting data for employee evaluations and assisting with performance review processes. Administer employee benefits programs, including benefits enrollment, inquiries, and benefits administration tasks using HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors or UltiPro. Maintain accurate personnel records, handle confidential information with integrity, and ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations. Main contact with staffing firms and vendors Keep close contact with managers on warehouse floor and employees for any HR related questions and hiring forecasting. Onboarding new hires Assist with open enrollment Requirements Proven experience in an HR department or related administrative role with familiarity in human capital management systems such as Oracle HCM or Paychex. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, HR legal compliance, and regulatory standards including OSHA and FMLA regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with data analysis skills using Excel for data collection and reporting purposes. Ability to adapt quickly to new HR systems such as Workday, Kronos, or Taleo and utilize them effectively for daily operations.
