Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic Human Resources team as a Human Resources Assistant, where your energy and organizational skills will drive impactful HR initiatives across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance efforts. You will be a vital part of fostering a positive workplace culture by ensuring efficient HR operations and delivering exceptional support to employees at all levels. Duties Assist with talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates through HR systems (such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM), scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities. Support employee orientation programs and facilitate new hire onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the organization. Contribute to employee evaluation and performance management initiatives by collecting data, preparing reports, and supporting review processes. Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations such as FMLA and OSHA standards. Maintain accurate personnel records through data entry in HRIS systems while handling confidential information with utmost discretion. Assist in HR legal compliance management by supporting affirmative action planning, employment law adherence, and regulatory reporting requirements. Support HR projects related to workforce management, organization design, succession planning, and training & development programs to promote continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience in an HR department or administrative role supporting human resources functions. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, HR legal compliance, and regulatory standards such as OSHA and FMLA regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to perform data analysis using Excel data analysis tools. Familiarity with HR systems (such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and applicant tracking systems (ATS) like iCIMS or Workable for sourcing and recruitment activities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities using project management techniques while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with payroll processing platforms such as ADP or Paychex is advantageous. Knowledge of employee relations practices and conflict management strategies to foster a positive work environment.
