SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Human Resources Assistant in a developmental capacity. This is a developmental position leading to the next position of a Human Resources Assistant, GS-0203-06. Duties and responsibilities of the position are essentially the same as th of the full-performance PD with the exception of additional training, supervision, guidance, and direction necessary until incumbent tains the full-performance level of experience. As level of knowledge and experience increases, level of supervision will decrease accordingly. Incumbent may be promoted to next higher grade without further competition after completion of minimum TIG (Time-in-Grade) requirement, completion of all training as indiced by manager, with recommendion of the supervisor, provided the full-performance position remains as a valid position. Difference in factor levels are provided below. Performs developmental work assignments. Performs recurring work assignments. Provides direct assistance to specialists in the performance of Human Resources work. Performs other duties as assigned. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work th indices ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position with experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
GS-05: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level. Experience th equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and th is typically in or reled to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have the 1 year of approprie specialized experience, as indiced in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, educion above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualificion requirements.
- OR•Educion in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.
e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions. GS-06: Must have least one-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade level. GS-07: Must have least one-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade level.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the approprie clearance designed the Ste through the use of the Position Designion Tool. 2. Ability to establish effective professional working relionships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperive working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 3. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 4. May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. 5. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an approprie valid driver's license is mandory. 6. This position is designed as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparion for, or in response to, a ste emergency or disaster declarion. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the Nional Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel (NGB-J1).
