About A lakeside full-service marina that includes slip rentals, boat rentals, service and repair, a boat dealership, and a restaurant is seeking a Human Resources & Benefits Administrator to oversee key HR functions while supporting payroll operations and workplace safety. This role will manage recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation processes, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with managers and employees. Location and Employee Type Okoboji, IA Full-Time Compensation and Benefits $60-65k/year, depending on the experience Health, vision, and dental insurance Company 401(k) Paid vacation Employee discounts Duties and Responsibilities Lead recruiting, interviewing, hiring, background checks, and onboarding processes. Partner with managers on staffing, employee development, training, and employee relations matters. Maintain organizational charts, job descriptions, employee records, and HR documentation. Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related questions. Support compensation reviews, succession planning, and annual HR planning. Support payroll processing, including timesheets, deductions, direct deposits, benefits contributions, and payroll documentation. Assist with payroll tax compliance and employee questions related to wages and deductions. Coordinate employee terminations, resignations, and exit interviews. Support workplace safety programs, including safety meetings, policies, training, incident documentation, and workers' compensation claims. Ensure compliance with applicable employment, payroll, benefits, and workplace safety regulations. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required. 3+ years of professional HR experience preferred. Experience with benefits administration, compensation, recruitment, employee development, HR compliance, and organizational planning. Previous payroll processing experience, preferably within a small to mid-sized company. PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Marine industry experience is a plus. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Clear and effective communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with managers and employees. Strong problem-solving and process-management skills. Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
Pay:
