Full Time Position Overview The Military Programs Coordinator develops, coordinates, and executes military talent attraction programs that support workforce needs across Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Construction Management, and Field Operations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for military hiring initiatives and builds sustainable pipelines of transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses. This individual leads military recruiting campaigns, partnerships, hiring events, candidate engagement, and program communications while collaborating with recruiters, hiring managers, HR leaders, and operational teams. District Overview HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization. Location This position is based out of Lenexa, Kansas. Up to 25-40% travel. Frequent visits to military installations, veteran hiring events, conferences, and Industrial office or project locations. Responsibilities Military Program Management Lead and expand military recruiting initiatives, including SkillBridge, Hiring Our Heroes (HOH), veteran outreach, and military spouse programs. Build and maintain relationships with military installations, transition assistance offices, veteran organizations, and military-focused workforce groups. Coordinate base visits, career fairs, information sessions, networking events, and interview days. Serve as the Industrial market subject matter expert for military recruiting strategies and military-to-civilian talent pathways. Recruiting & Candidate Engagement Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to identify opportunities for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses. Source, screen, and engage candidates for designated military hiring initiatives. Translate military experience into relevant career pathways across engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, construction management, safety, and field operations. Coordinate candidate communications, interviews, and hiring activities associated with military programs. Develop and maintain military talent pipelines aligned with annual hiring goals and workforce plans. Marketing, Events & Partnerships Develop targeted campaigns and recruiting materials that promote career opportunities to military audiences. Create presentations, flyers, social media content, videos, and event materials that support military recruiting. Represent the organization at military installations, veteran events, conferences, and networking programs. Collect success stories and program outcomes to strengthen awareness and engagement. Coordinate event logistics, travel, promotional materials, and follow-up activities. Program Reporting & Improvement Track candidate pipelines, event engagement, program participation, conversion rates, military hires, offer acceptance, and program outcomes. Prepare recurring program updates and recommendations for leadership. Use program data and stakeholder feedback to improve outreach, candidate experience, and hiring results. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, military programs, workforce development, program coordination, event management, or talent marketing. Strong presentation, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, LinkedIn, and recruiting technologies. Preferred Experience supporting military recruiting, veteran outreach, SkillBridge, Hiring Our Heroes, or military spouse programs. Knowledge of military occupations and their application to civilian careers. Knowledge of construction, engineering, industrial manufacturing, or EPC industries. Experience creating recruiting marketing materials, presentations, and social media campaigns. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, and recruiting analytics. #LI-KS23Other Requirements:
