Jobs › North Andover, MA › Human Resources (HR) Assistant Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant North Andover, MA Apply Description We are looking for a bilingual Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support daily HR operations at a food manufacturing facility in Massachusetts. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing employee support with administrative coordination across onboarding, compliance, and workforce engagement. The person in this role will work closely with employees and leadership to help maintain organized HR processes, address workplace concerns, and contribute to a productive and well-supported environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day human resources activities for employees, supervisors, and site leadership within a fast-moving manufacturing setting.
- Coordinate onboarding tasks, including scheduling, documentation, pre-employment screenings, and orientation support.
- Assist with employee relations matters by responding to questions, escalating concerns when needed, and helping maintain consistent HR practices.
- Track attendance and provide administrative support for performance-related processes, corrective action documentation, and workforce follow-up.
- Help administer training records, safety-related documentation, benefits support, and employee communication initiatives.
- Provide assistance with payroll and timekeeping processes by reviewing records, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate employee information in HR systems and personnel files while supporting compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Contribute to offboarding activities such as exit documentation, status updates, and coordination of employee separation procedures. Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills are required.
- Previous experience supporting human resources administration in a detail-oriented workplace environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate employee records.
- Experience assisting with onboarding processes, background checks, and other pre-employment activities.
- Working knowledge of employee relations practices and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfortable supporting attendance, timekeeping, and payroll-related administrative tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
