The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for daily HR duties and administrative functions. In addition to HR Duties, performs a range of receptionist and administrative tasks including, but not limited to answering phones and directing callers, greeting visitors and vendors, creating & receiving PO's, supplies ordering & inventory, assisting the plant leadership with Labor and Employee Relations, Performance management, Talent Management, Culture Management, HR Measurement, Organizational Development, Legal and Regulatory Compliance and HRIS and other duties as required. Bilingual (English - Spanish) a Plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Performs HR admin duties as needed, to include: screening walk-in candidates, onboarding, creating forms and documents, and putting together handbooks and other pieces; keeping employee files current and properly indexed; assisting with applicants and interviews; and other HR administration duties as assigned. 2. Support the administration of key HR processes, including unemployment claims and workers' compensation claims. 3. Assist with advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy, and employment laws. Assist with and administer unemployment insurance processes . 4. Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints . 5. Recruits and provides orientation for new employees as needed. 6. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition and referral programs. 7. Assist the Benefit Coordinator in processing benefit forms and answering employees' questions related to benefits. 8. Provides excellent customer service to visitors and vendors who visit the facility, ensuring they are aware of Wilcox Farms' Good Manufacturing Practices and Biosecurity policy. Welcomes customers and Hutterites, giving them a good first impression of the Company and facility . 9. Works with accounting to create & receive purchase orders . Strong emphasis on Workmen's Comp experience preferred. Bilingual (English - Spanish) a Plus

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations about employment (i.e., discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, etc.).
