Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the General Manager / Corporate Director of Human Resources and is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations by coordinating full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, assisting with employee relations, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting compliance, payroll, benefits, and leave administration. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, assists with policy development and documentation, and supports employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive and compliant workplace culture.
CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate full-cycle recruiting and onboarding activities, including internal and external job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, interview support, and onboarding reporting. Assist with onboarding new hires by completing required paperwork, reviewing the Employee Handbook, and processing I-9 documentation. Serve as a support resource for employees and managers regarding employee relations matters, escalating concerns to the Human Resources Director as appropriate. Serve as a point of contact for new hires and managers, responding to questions related to policies, onboarding requirements, and employment documentation. Support Human Resources initiatives and assigned projects, including efforts, payroll coordination, and benefits administration. Assist with tracking, coordinating, and documenting employee performance reviews in partnership with department leaders and managers. Assist with leave administration (FMLA, NJFLA, disability, accommodations) by gathering documentation and coordinating with leadership and vendors. In collaboration with the Human Resources Director, assist in drafting, updating, and disseminating HR policies and procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and organized employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and morale-boosting activities across the property.
