Director Human Resources Position Purpose and Objectives The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the HR department, administrative functions that coincide with the Human Resources department and employees. This individual will assist Talent Acquisition, Human Resources and provide a high level of confidentiality. Human Resource Assistant Essential Job Functions Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supports Human Resources as well as Talent Acquisition by scheduling new hires first day, ensuring we have correct I9 documents, general paperwork as well as maintaining records and information. Work with hiring Managers upon completion of Request to Hire. Ensure new hires paperwork is completed by candidate. Register candidates for pre-employment drug testing and Background screens. Launch onboarding and ensure accurate completion. Administer FMLA paperwork for employees on disability, FMLA and WC. Follow up with employee return, doctor's note and benefit payment if applicable Keep eyes and ears open to anything going on in the company. Visit other building locations to correspond with employees on a weekly schedule. Follow up with new hires to ensure benefit elections are made in a timely manner. Schedule exit interviews. Human Resource Assistant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Good Communicator Well Organized Knowledge of basic benefit programs Knowledge of basic employment law is a plus Detail oriented Active Listener Public Speaker Ability to Multitask Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Positive Attitude Maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion Supervisory Responsibility N/A Working Conditions Office Minimum Qualifications Degree in human resources certification, or related experience. 0-2 years of experience as an Admin or HR/ Executive assistant. Effective HR administration and people management skills. General understanding of HR functions and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools. Fantastic organizational and time management skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to accurately follow instructions.
