Join our team as a Security Officer in a professional healthcare environment where safety, customer service, and compassionate communication are top priorities. We are seeking dependable individuals who can provide a welcoming presence while maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role is ideal for security professionals who are calm under pressure, enjoy interacting with people, and are confident using de-escalation techniques in sensitive situations. Pay Rate Starting at $20.00 per hour Available Schedules Overnight Shift (12:00 AM- 8:00 AM)
Full-Time:
Tuesday- Saturday (40 hours/week)
Part-Time:
Sunday & Monday (16 hours/week) Day Shift (8:00 AM- 4:00 PM)

Sunday & Monday (16 hours/week) Responsibilities Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Provide exceptional customer service while serving as the first point of contact. Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols on foot. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and service requests. Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) principles and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations. Monitor individuals when necessary to promote safety during potential elopement situations while following established procedures. Work closely with the onsite Security Operations Center (SOC) and other team members during incidents. Complete accurate reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow officers. Maintain a professional appearance and positive demeanor at all times. Minimum Qualifications 1-3 years of prior security experience. Valid New York State Security Guard License. High School Diploma or GED. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience with, or the ability to learn, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and de-escalation techniques. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations. Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, including frequent foot patrols. Ability to safely monitor and follow individuals during potential elopement situations while maintaining professionalism. Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, behavioral health, or similar customer-focused environment. Experience responding to emergencies and documenting incidents. Familiarity with access control, incident reporting, and security operations. Why Join Us?
