Job Description

Overview The Fingerprinting Technician/HR Data Clerk is responsible for providing customer service and handling the day-to-day administration of all functions related to completing fingerprinting which includes but is not limited to verifying customer identity, processing biometric screenings and processing related documentation. Responsibilities Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Operate live-scan fingerprint equipment for identification, criminal history, and job application purposes in a faced paced environment. Verify customer identity and scan required documents into database system. Complete accurate biometric and data processing for each customer. Use copier/scanner to upload documentation to employee digital files while maintaining confidentiality. Perform data entry to HRIS management and other database systems. Access various Excel spreadsheets to look up and enter employee information. May assist with new hire onboarding processes by processing background check information as needed. May be trained to perform other Human Resources functions as assigned.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers to operate live-scan fingerprint equipment, scanners, copiers, and a computer keyboard. The role involves frequent data entry, repetitive hand movements, close vision for reading documents and screens, and verbal communication with customers. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Qualifications Background check and proof of US Citizenship is required for all staff that will be working on programs that have access to TSA, Classified, and Secure Credentialing program PII for US Federal, State, Local and Tribal governments. Preferred experience in records / file maintenance or a related area. Proven computer data processing and data entry abilities. Must be organized and detail oriented with ability to analyze and assess information while working independently with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Outlook
