Job Description

Surge Staffing is seeking a Human Resources Admin with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be dependable, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable serving as a point of contact for employees and leaders. The compensation range for this position is $25.00-$27.00 per hour. The hours will be as followed-
Monday:
7:30am-4:30pm and Tuesday-Friday 10am-7pm or 11am-8pm. Human Resources Admin
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support daily HR operations and processes Serve as a point of contact for employees and leaders Respond to employee questions by phone, email, and in person Assist with new hire onboarding and paperwork Send new hire onboarding packets Process and monitor drug tests and background checks Review and scan completed process checklists Assist with benefits administration Assist with weekly payroll for permanent employees Support employee relations processes Prepare and send termination letters Maintain accurate and confidential employee records Track daily attendance and identify trends Assist with compliance tracking and reporting Coordinate employee training and HR activities Manage team calendar, birthdays, anniversaries, and PTO Provide receptionist coverage during breaks Maintain organized HR files and documentation Provide exceptional customer service to employees and leaders Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of customer service or relevant business experience Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Comfortable speaking in front of groups Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Proficient computer and telephone skills Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures Cooperative and team-oriented Calm under pressure and able to work independently
