Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the HR Assistant performs a variety of human resources and administrative duties. The position prepares and maintains personnel records, processes personnel transactions, assists with payroll and benefits administration, supports recruitment and employee relations activities, and assists with the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. The HR Assistant provides information and assistance to County employees regarding personnel policies, labor agreements, benefits, leave programs, Workers' Compensation, and other human resources matters. The position also prepares reports, correspondence, resolutions, job postings, and other human resources documents and assists with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Behavioral Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of related work experience preferred, preferably in County government, human resources, or a related administrative field.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered if they provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Valid Ohio driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of adequate vehicle insurance.
Hours:
Office hours 8am-4:30pm, additional hours as needed.
