Job Summary Panhandle Services for Children, Inc. seeks a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resources & Administrative Support Specialist. This is a full-time, salaried position that plays an important role in supporting the agency's human resources operations, administrative functions, community engagements, and front office activities. The role combines primary responsibility for human resources duties with administrative and receptionist support. The ideal candidate will be dependable, exhibit professionalism, discretion, and initiative, also serving as the first point of contact for the agency and key support to leadership. Key Responsibilities Assist with maintaining employee records. Support onboarding, offboarding, and benefits enrollment. Track employee leave. Assist with recruitment activities, including preparing and posting job announcements, coordinating candidates, and scheduling interviews. Help organize and coordinate employee trainings and professional development activities. Participate in internal and external audits and assist with preparing requested documentation. Administrative & Front Office Support Answer and direct calls using a multi-line telephone system. Welcome and direct visitors, clients, and community partners. Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and other agency activities. Prepare meeting materials and provide meeting support as needed. Maintain office organization and ensure necessary office supplies are available. Assist with agency community events and outreach activities. Provide additional administrative support to leadership as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 2 years of HR or administrative experience. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Canva, and social media platforms. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Availability for occasional evening or weekend events. Ability to travel throughout the 3 county service area as needed. Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. HR, business, or office administration training/certification. Previous experience supporting human resources functions in a nonprofit or community service environment.
