A Human Resources Clerk or Technician provides a variety of specialized clerical duties in support of HR services and programs within an organization or company. Processes requisitions to fill vacancies, posts job vacancies, coordinate and maintains relationships with recruiting agencies, monitors open posting activity and processes applications. May act as an advisor regarding HR policies and programs.
EXAMPLES OF WORKED PERFORMED FOR HUMAN RESOURCES CLERK
Enter and make changes for new employees, rehires, and transfers in UKG. Conduct new hire employee orientation. Make new hire folders. Ensure that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures. Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Department including, but not limited to, distributing mail, filing, faxing, and copying. Order business cards & name tags for new hires and as needed. Approve business cards for entirety of company and input deduction into payroll system. Compile and input payroll information into UKG. Enter changes to W-4 elections, direct deposits, address changes, etc. Employment verification for employees. Assist with employee benefits enrollment. Prepare boxes of records for offsite storage. Maintain and keep I-9's up to date and in compliance. Update organizational charts and keep up with companywide employee evaluation deadlines. Update individual member's records with information related to beneficiaries, dependents, coverage, etc. as needed. Main point of contact for greeting employees and assisting with answering questions. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS FOR HUMAN RESOURCES CLERK
College coursework in Human Resources Management preferred; excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to handle confidential information. Knowledge of employment, safety and merchandise handling procedures. Must be at least 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license with no more than 2 traffic violations and/or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS
