ASSISTANT
The Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown - Convention Center is seeking an Accounting & HR Assistant to join our team. The Accounting & HR Assists in the operation of the Accounting and Human Resources departments by maintaining and auditing cash banks and assisting with coordination of payroll activities and assisting the human resources department with programs, enrollments, and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook. File organization and maintenance systems.
Skills and Ability to:
Analyze information or activities involving original data manipulation or interpretation to arrive at logical conclusions. Maintain the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness and confidentiality. Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on tasks with limited direct supervision. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide with accuracy. Ten key by touch and ability to type at least 40 wpm.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in accounting or similar preferred. One year experience in office environment or Human Resources. Three years progressively responsible experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light Work:
Ability to exert force to move objects and ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally. This work requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry general office supplies and equipment. Position requires hand manipulative skills for word processing and writing, and ability to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in person with background noise.
