The Human Resources Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth HR operations and compliance with Sunrise standards. This role supports payroll, recruiting, onboarding and personnel record management while delivering accurate, timely and service-oriented HR support to team members and leaders.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain and organize personnel files and employment records in compliance with federal, state and Sunrise requirements
- Support payroll processing, timekeeping audits and HRIS data entry
- Process status changes, new hires, transfers and terminations in HR systems
- Monitor performance review timelines and merit increase documentation
- Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, screenings and interview scheduling
- Assist with onboarding, new hire paperwork and Sunrise University orientation
- Support unemployment claims, EEO documentation and workers' compensation processes
- Ensure required postings and employment law notices are current and compliant
- Track required training and maintain accurate documentation
