We currently have opportunities for both HR Administrators/Generalists and Senior HR Advisors. This is a part-time, flexible opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a consulting environment supporting multiple clients, and providing practical, people-centered HR support. Position Summary Depending on experience, this position may provide HR administrative, generalist, or senior-level advisory support to EQHR's clients across California. HR Administrators/Generalists will primarily support HR Advisors and clients with day-to-day HR administration, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, HR documentation, and other HR projects. Senior HR Advisors will provide strategic, hands-on HR guidance and independently support clients with employee relations, performance management, compliance, policies and procedures, and other complex HR matters. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Candidates should be able to manage confidential information, communicate effectively with clients and employees, and adapt to changing priorities. This position is primarily remote, with occasional on-side client meets or support as needed. Responsibilities and requirements will vary based on experience and may include: HR Administration & Generalist Support Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to HR Advisors and clients Prepare and maintain HR documents, reports, and personnel files Support onboarding and offboarding processes Assist with recruiting, including resume screening, candidate communication, and interview coordination Assist with payroll and benefits-related administrative tasks Maintain accurate and confidential HR Records Help prepare training materials and provide training support Research HR topics, regulations, and employment laws as requested Support internal and client projects as assigned Requirements Prior experience in HR, administration, recruiting, or a client-service environment preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment High level of professionalism and personal integrity Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information Experience supporting recruiting efforts, including resume screening, candidate coordination, and interview scheduling, preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred Bilingual in Spanish is preferred Senior HR Advisory Support Key Responsibilities Provide practical HR guidance to managers, employees, business owners, and executives Independently manage employee relations and performance management matters Provide guidance on California and federal employment law and HR compliance Review and assist with handbooks, policies, and procedures Support or conduct workplace investigations Provide guidance related to leaves, workplace issues, and other sensitive HR matters Develop and deliver management and employee training Provide compensation guidance and analysis as needed Manage multiple client relationships, priorities, projects, and deadlines Requirements Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner, HR Management, or HR consulting/advisory role In-depth knowledge of California and federal employment laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret requirements and provide practical guidance Broad knowledge of HR disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, recruitment, leave management, HR compliance, policy development, and organizational effectiveness Demonstrated experience advising multiple clients, business units, or divisions in a consulting, HR Business Partner, or similar capacity Proven experience independently managing and resolving complex employee relations matters, performance issues, and other sensitive HR situations Experience developing, reviewing, and implementing employee handbooks, HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and delivering employee or management training, including the ability to develop training materials and curricula Experience with compensation analysis and benchmarking is a plus Ability to work independently in a remote environment and at client locations while effectively managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with business owners, executives, managers, and employees at all levels Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex HR and compliance matters clearly and effectively Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills with the ability to provide practical, business-minded HR recommendations High degree of professionalism, ethics, sound judgment, and personal integrity, particularly when handling confidential and sensitive employee and client information Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
