Job Description

This position requires in-office training followed by being fully remote. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM with cross training on the 5AM-2PM shift. Also Sunday on call rotation. Role and Responsibilities Performs a wide range of administrative tasks designed to facilitate and expedite the accomplishments of the organization's responsibilities. Assignments are characterized by the need for considerable initiative, tact, judgment, and confidentiality. Works closely with Anesthesiologist in Charge (AIC) to update provider assignments each day—handle call in situations to prepare and communicate appropriate staffing adjustments to the specific site affected for MD and/or CRNA coverage. Works within Epic (Electronic Medical Record) to assign providers to their respective ORs per the AIC's assignments. Interacts with site leads to include MDs and CRNAs to determine staffing needs for the following week and makes staffing changes accordingly. Works collaboratively with cross functional team creating and maintaining reports and shared documents ensuring leadership and facilities are aware of staffing counts. Maintains the strictest confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patients, physicians, employees, and visitors. Assists AIC by contacting providers about their assignments. Communicates with Physicians regarding staffing changes via phone, text, email. Responds to emails about staffing swaps/changes and makes appropriate updates in the scheduling system (QGenda). Rotates with an assigned MD to take Sunday Admin On Call-to handle emergent staffing needs for the next work day. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associate degree in office administration or two (2) years of office administrative support experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work well either individually or as a part of a team. Ability to multiple task in a fast paste environment. Qualifications and Education Preferred Knowledge of office flow and efficient work style. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to resolve issues and identify areas of improvement. Familiarity working with Epic/Cerner/SIS or other EMR systems a plus.
