Leave of Absence Administrator at Ultimate Staffing Services Leave of Absence Administrator at Ultimate Staffing Services in San Antonio, Texas Posted in 1 day ago. $62,400.00 per year Leave of Absence Administrator Position Summary The Leave of Absence Administrator is responsible for administering and managing employee leave programs and workers' compensation claims while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and external partners throughout the leave process, providing guidance and support from leave initiation through return to work. Key Responsibilities Administer all leave programs, including FMLA, medical, personal, military, and administrative leaves. Manage workers' compensation claims from initiation through resolution. Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, HIPAA, USERRA, workers' compensation regulations, and applicable state and local leave laws. Maintain accurate leave records, documentation, case files, and HRIS data. Coordinate return-to-work processes, including fitness-for-duty requirements and workplace accommodations. Partner with payroll, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and regulatory agencies to support leave and workers' compensation administration. Prepare and distribute required leave notices and documentation within established timelines. Monitor leave activity, compliance reporting, and audit requirements. Provide guidance and training to employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the employee experience. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. Certification Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) certification preferred but not required. Experience Five (5) or more years of verifiable experience in leave administration, workers' compensation, disability management, benefits administration, or human resources. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, HIPAA, USERRA, disability programs, and workers' compensation practices. Excellent communication, customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
