Job Description
Responsibilities The HR Intern will support Deltek's HR Operations team by reviewing and auditing personnel files to ensure proper document retention and compliance. This role offers hands-on experience in HR records management and provides a meaningful contribution to maintaining the integrity of Deltek's employee data. Key Responsibilities Review and audit existing personnel files to assess document completeness and accuracy Determine which documents should be retained in accordance with applicable policies and legal requirements Identify and flag documents eligible for secure destruction/shredding Organize and categorize files to support efficient records management Assist in maintaining confidentiality and data privacy standards throughout the review process Document findings and provide status updates to the HR Operations team Support additional HR administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and evaluate large volumes of documents Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Basic familiarity with HR processes and personnel documentation Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of records retention policies and regulatory compliance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Prior internship or coursework experience in an HR or administrative environment Familiarity with document management systems or digital filing tools Compensation The U.S. hourly range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
