Job Description

We are currently working with one of our Portage County clients seeking a Director of Administration and Human Resources. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a comprehensive benefit package upon hire. This position works fully on-site. This role leads the organization's internal administrative, HR, and culture initiatives to ensure efficient operations and support a team dedicated to serving youth and families.
Core Responsibilities HR Operations & Compliance:
Manage day-to-day HR (onboarding, personnel files, policy, and benefits), maintain the Paycom HRIS, and ensure strict compliance with employment laws.
Recruitment & Culture:
Lead hiring, onboarding, and staff retention strategies. Collaborate with leadership to promote organizational values, wellness, and team engagement.
Leadership & Coaching:
Serve on the leadership team to guide administrative planning, organizational growth, and provide HR coaching to managers.
Admin & Grant Support:
Track staff funding allocations, manage grant reimbursement claims/reporting, and assist with audit preparation and policy development.
Experience:
3+ years in HR, administration, nonprofit operations, or organizational development.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (preferred).
Skills:
Proficient in MS Office; experience with HRIS (Paycom preferred). Strong conflict resolution, communication, and time-management skills.
Logistics:
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation for local travel, and flexibility for occasional evening/weekend hours. Must pass annual background checks.
Physical & Environment:
Able to move through office and youth program spaces, operate office tech, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
