Job Description
The Director serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, ensuring HR policies and practices are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a positive and productive work environment. This position also provides leadership, direction, and development for the HR team.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyDevelop and implement HR strategies that support organizational objectives and growth.
Partner with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development.
Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Lead and manage the HR department, including hiring, coaching, and performance management of staff.
Employee Relations & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Serve as a resource for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance issues.
Identify and mitigate organizational risk related to HR practices.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee records and HR systems.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningOversee recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Partner with leadership to assess hiring needs and workforce planning initiatives.
Manage recruitment processes, vendors, and related budgets.
Ensure job descriptions and hiring practices remain compliant and up to date.
Compensation & BenefitsDevelop and maintain competitive compensation structures and benefits programs.
Ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
Oversee payroll processes and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
Collaborate with external vendors and brokers to manage benefits programs.
Training & DevelopmentDesign and implement onboarding and orientation programs.
Develop training initiatives for employees and leadership, including compliance training.
Support performance management processes, including evaluations and career development.
Promote continuous learning and professional development.
HR Systems & Operations (UKG Focus)Serve as the subject matter expert for UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
Oversee system configuration, implementation, upgrades, and optimization of UKG platforms (e.g., UKG Pro, UKG Ready, or Kronos Workforce).Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance within UKG systems.
Partner with IT and vendors to troubleshoot issues and enhance system functionality.
Develop and analyze HR metrics and dashboards using UKG reporting tools.
Train HR staff and managers on effective use of UKG systems.
