Job Summary The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for supporting and managing employee relations matters across the organization, including employee complaints, workplace investigations, performance concerns, corrective actions, disciplinary matters, and terminations. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns and employee relations issues. The position works closely with HR and business leaders to ensure employee matters are handled fairly, consistently, confidentially, and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws. The ideal candidate has strong employee relations and investigation experience, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to independently manage sensitive and complex employee issues in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Employee Complaints & Conflict Resolution Serve as a primary point of contact for employee complaints, workplace concerns, conflicts, and other employee relations matters. Conduct and manage workplace investigations by gathering relevant information, reviewing documentation, interviewing involved parties, and coordinating with HR and management as appropriate. Assess employee concerns objectively and support appropriate resolution based on company policies and established procedures. Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner. 2. Employee Support & Relations Management Provide employee relations guidance and support to employees and managers across departments and locations. Advise and partner with managers on employee concerns, workplace conduct, performance matters, corrective actions, disciplinary issues, and terminations. Conduct employee follow-ups and support engagement initiatives that promote a positive, respectful, and productive work environment. Support managers in addressing employee performance and workplace behavior issues consistently and appropriately. 3. HR Policy & Employment Compliance Ensure consistent communication and application of company HR policies, procedures, and workplace standards. Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding attendance, conduct, workplace expectations, and other employee-related procedures. Support employment compliance, policy updates, and appropriate handling of confidential employee information in accordance with applicable requirements. Partner with HR leadership to promote consistent employee relations practices across the organization. 4. Documentation & Case Management Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations case records, including investigation notes, employee communications, corrective action documentation, and follow-up actions. Manage and track open employee relations cases to ensure timely follow-up, resolution, and closure. Prepare employee relations case summaries, reports, and trend information as needed. Ensure employee relations documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained appropriately. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred. 4-6 years of HR experience, including at least 2-3 years of direct Employee Relations experience. Experience independently handling employee complaints, workplace investigations, corrective actions, performance management, disciplinary matters, and terminations. Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices; knowledge of California employment law is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee matters with professionalism and discretion. Strong organizational and case-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple employee relations cases simultaneously. Experience using HRIS or employee case-management systems preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is preferred.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
