Director of Human Resources at The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Print Application Deadline Until Filled Date Posted 9/16/2026 Contact Jemi Iraheta 6612733680 681 Number of Openings 1 Salary Pay Range $164,220 - $186,679 Annually Length of Work Year 220 Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Human Resources will plan, organize, direct, and manage the daily operations of the Human Resources Department including personnel recruitment and selection, staff evaluations, personnel record management systems, employee/employer relations and negotiations, legal consultation, and assist in the planning development and implementation of Board policies, administrative regulations, and strategies for achieving Academy goals and objectives. Education and Experience:
  • Valid California Administrative Credential required
  • Valid California Teaching Credential required
  • Master's degree or advanced study from an accredited college or university in the field of educational administration, personnel administration, or other closely related field required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of classroom teaching experience is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Public Education Administration preferred, preferably in Human Resources
  • Experience in California charter school is highly preferred
Position Type/Expected Work Hours:
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 7 AM to 4 PM. Work is generally performed during regular work hours and extended evenings and/or weekend hours for extra-curricular events, board meetings, special programs, school site operations, or urgent issues as needed. Willingness to attend and actively participate in school-related events outside of regular school hours. The Charter School prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying based on actual or perceived race or ethnicity, gender/sex (including gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and pregnancy-related medical conditions) sexual orientation, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental status, marital status, registered domestic partner status, age, genetic information, political belief or affiliation, a person's association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law, ordinance, or regulation in any program or activity it conducts or to which it provides significant assistance.
