Overview We are currently seeking a mid to senior-level HR Business Partner. This role will serve as the primary business partner to several business units and their associates. The incumbent will provide their client groups HR thought leadership and guidance to leadership and people managers on all people related matters. This may include but not limited to providing proactive, innovative, and customer-focused HR solutions that are tailored to the needs of their client groups but aligned with company's standards and practices. The incumbent is also responsible for leading the key HR programs at their client groups, e.g., talent management/development, goal setting & performance management, consultation on employee relation issues, benefit administration, and building an inclusive culture in alignment with corporate value and corporate culture. They are also responsible for developing credible and trusting relationships with senior leaders, managers and employees. Responsibilities
  • Develops strong strategic working relationships with client groups and their teams to build an understanding of the business and their organization's strengths and areas of opportunity, and maintains efficient level of business knowledge.
  • Provides tailored coaching, consultation, guidance, and recommendations to client groups on all people related matters, and ensures alignment with our business strategies and workforce plan while maintaining our company culture and adhering to our company's standards, policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Implements and champions company-wide HR programs, policies, procedures and practices, HR initiatives, and develops solutions through organizational development.
  • Drives annual HR processes, such as goal setting, performance management, compensation planning, talent review and planning, succession planning, etc.
  • Advises management with respect to employee relations and performance management issues, with an emphasis on early identification and resolution.
This includes but not limited to facilitating corrective actions, conducting internal investigations, communicating outcomes and recommendations to relevant stakeholders in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal, state and local legal requirements.
  • Partners with Center of Excellence on specialized HR areas including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee engagement and HRIS to foster employee engagement and ensure positive employee experience.
  • Partners with senior leadership in all business functions to ensure consistent practices, procedures, and HR strategies are being executed smoothly.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and provides suggestions on enhancements, if applicable.
  • Participates in and/or leads projects that advance our HR service delivery.
  • Stays up-to-date in federal, state and local employment regulations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with 4+ years in a generalist, or HR business partner capacity.
  • Human Resources experience with banking industry is preferred, experience and knowledge in commercial lending is highly desired.
  • General knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practice is a must; Proven experience with multi-state HR is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while keeping relevant stakeholders up-to-date on his/her work
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, procedures and other business practices, guidelines, and documents.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects/timelines simultaneously.
  • Excellent judgement and impeccable follow through.
  • Strong adaptability mindset and comfortable navigating through change and uncertainty effectively.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
  • Willing and able to work additional hours when necessary.
