This role is not purely administrative or advisory—this person will build, run, and continuously improve the HR function while supporting day-to-day business operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable operating with a high level of ownership. You are equally comfortable handling transactional HR work as you are improving systems, enforcing standards, and driving accountability across the organization. Job Responsibilities Own and execute the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and transitions Run day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness across all processes Administer benefits programs and actively manage relationships with brokers and providers Lead recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination Maintain and enforce job descriptions, policies, and standard operating procedures Address employee issues directly and work with managers to drive timely resolution Maintain accurate, audit-ready personnel records and documentation Manage Safety Consortium participation and track DOT driver eligibility status Support implementation and enforcement of DOT, Safety, and Environmental Health policies Drive the performance review process and ensure completion across all departments Own HRIS (Paylocity) administration, data integrity, and reporting Implement and track required training programs, ensuring completion and compliance Partner with Accounting to ensure payroll changes and updates are accurate and timely Build, document, and continuously improve SOPs across all HR functions Conduct compensation benchmarking and provide practical, data-driven recommendations Monitor multi-state employment law requirements and ensure policies remain aligned Support leadership in executing HR initiatives tied directly to operational and financial performance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 3 years of hands-on HR experience in an operational environment Proven ability to execute and manage processes—not just design them Strong systems mindset with experience improving workflows and driving consistency Experience with Paylocity strongly preferred Experience with JazzHR or similar Applicant Tracking Systems preferred Experience working with a DISA Consortium Administrator (C/TPA) preferred Experience with DOT regulatory compliance strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of multi-state employment laws Excellent communication skills with the ability to be direct, clear, and solution-oriented High level of accountability, ownership, and follow-through Ability to operate with urgency and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment vr1BPuvgRN
