Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a HR Business Partner for a permanent position with a Major Food Production Company located in Norwalk, IA. This position is fully onsite.
Compensation:
$70,000 - $110,000 per year, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
This role will provide HR support and assistance to employees on a professional level, carrying out responsibilities in functional areas such as safety, recruitment, retention, staffing, benefit administration, employee relations, records maintenance, policy implementation, and employment lawpliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with operations teams to develop strategies to recruit, develop and retain a skilled workforce
Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees by posting job openings, reviewing applications, and screening/interviewing applicants
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and rmending courses of action
Review employment transactions for accuracy (ie annual reviews, promotions, transfers, new hire paperwork)
Responsible for HRpliance by participating in monthly, quarterly and annualpliance audits and training
Supervise the orientation process by ensuring thepletion of all necessary paperwork, conductingpany tours and presenting information onpany policies and procedures
Assist in affirmative action
Assist in identifying, developing and facilitating employee training
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the HR team members
Participate in teams (ie HR Strategy Teams, Safety and Plant Continuous Improvement Teams)
Provide support to supervisors and managers regarding personnel issues while ensuring policies and procedures are administered fairly and consistently
Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
Ad to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks
Ad to Quality work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
Primary Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalentbination of education, training and/or experience
3-5+ years' experience within Human Resources in a manufacturing environment
Desired skills:
Bachelor's degree in human resources management
PHR or other relevant certification preferred
Demonstrates an understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Knowledge and experience in human resources policies/practices, benefits, and staffing
Supervisory experience preferred
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
Exceptionalputer skills
