Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Human Resource Manager dedicated to cultivating a vibrant venue culture and fostering an exceptional employee experience. In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic HR initiatives, oversee talent acquisition, and ensure regulatory compliance—all while championing a positive, inclusive environment that aligns with our organizational values. Your expertise will drive workforce development, enhance employee engagement, and support the overall success of our venue operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive HR professional passionate about shaping workplace culture and managing comprehensive human resources functions. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic HR plans that support organizational goals and enhance venue culture. Lead talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent to ensure a high-performing team. Oversee employee orientation programs to facilitate seamless integration and promote engagement from day one. Manage performance management processes, including employee evaluations, coaching, and development initiatives. Administer benefits programs, payroll processing (Sage 100 software, Novatime/Ascentis Time & Attendance), and potential HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms such as Oracle HCM, ADP, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft to ensure accuracy and compliance. Handle employee relations issues by mediating conflicts, conducting misconduct investigations, and fostering open communication channels. Ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), OSHA standards, Workers' Compensation policies, and HR legal requirements. Lead HR sourcing efforts through innovative recruitment strategies and process improvements to attract diverse talent pools. Manage HR legal compliance management activities including contracts, employment law adherence, and EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) policies. Support change management initiatives by facilitating organizational design adjustments and succession planning to prepare for future growth. Experience Proven supervisory experience leading human resources teams within a fast-paced environment that is primarily focused on entertainment and venue management. Extensive background in talent management, recruiting, employee relations, and performance management. Demonstrated expertise in managing HR systems such as Oracle HCM, UltiPro, Taleo or PeopleSoft for data collection and analysis. Demonstrated familiarity in payroll and time/attendance softwares (Sage 100; Ascentis). Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle complex employment contracts and benefits negotiations effectively. Experience in managing employee misconduct investigations with a focus on confidentiality and fairness. Knowledge of employment & labor law regulations including OSHA standards and FMLA requirements. Skilled in strategic planning, process improvement, conflict management, and program management to optimize HR functions. Excellent communication skills for presenting HR initiatives to senior leadership and engaging employees at all levels. Familiarity with HR compliance tools like ADP or UltiPro for payroll processing and benefits administration. Demonstrated familiarity with governmental regulations within Illinois. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
