ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Finance, Human Resources & Technology oversees the Chamber's financial operations, human resources functions, office administration, and technology needs. This position provides organizational leadership, supervises staff, collaborates with the President & CEO, Treasurer, board leadership, and outside consultants, and ensures that the Chamber's internal operations align with its strategic goals. The ideal candidate is an organized, resourceful, and collaborative professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and a high level of professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance & Accounting Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Assist with annual budgeting, financial reporting, and contract management. Prepare internal financial reports and support sound financial decision-making. Work with the Treasurer and outside consultants to coordinate annual audits and tax filings. Human Resources Oversee the Chamber's human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee evaluations, and employee relations. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records. Review and update the employee handbook to support compliance with applicable federal and state laws. Administer employee benefits, payroll-related matters, vacation and sick leave tracking, and wage and salary administration. Serve as trustee of the Chamber's 401(k) retirement plan. Coordinate required reporting for government and insurance agencies. Organizational Leadership & Supervision Supervise the Young Professionals Program Manager and Administrative & Events Coordinator. Support organizational goals established through the annual budget, strategic plan, and leadership direction. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure effective organizational operations. Technology & Systems Management Oversee the Chamber's technology infrastructure, hardware, and software. Manage membership database software and network administration. Coordinate technology-related services, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Office & Facility Management Manage the Chamber's physical office space and day-to-day administrative operations. Coordinate telephone services, landlord communications, insurance, equipment purchases, and maintenance. Maintain office supply inventory and oversee related purchasing. Board & Organizational Support Coordinate the reaccreditation application process every five years. Manage meeting preparation and execution for the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Nominating Committee, and other organizational meetings. Support effective communication and coordination with board members, volunteers, and organizational stakeholders. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field and at least three years of relevant experience , or 10 years of equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and experience. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written, interpersonal, and group communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. Broad knowledge of technology and experience with network administration. Experience working with volunteers in a nonprofit environment. PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This position involves office-based work and may require occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting and moving items weighing up to 25 pounds, and attending meetings and events outside the main office.
