Human Resources Director Pay:
$85,000-$125,000/year DOE.
Benefits:
Full benefits package.
Location:
Shreveport, LA.
Employment Type:
Full-Time, Direct-Hire.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, standard business hours.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Human Resources Director to build and lead the company's HR function from the ground up. This position will work directly with ownership to develop organizational structure, employee development programs, training, advancement paths, and leadership succession plans. This is a broad, hands-on role focused on developing employees, strengthening accountability and consistency, supporting employee relations and compliance, and building the next level of supervisors and managers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable creating new processes and programs, taking ownership of HR initiatives, and helping position the organization for continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Build and establish the company's HR function, including policies, procedures, and organizational structure. Work directly with ownership to identify organizational needs and implement improvements that support continued growth. Develop employee training, development, advancement, and succession programs. Identify and develop employees for increased responsibility and future leadership roles. Manage employee relations, HR compliance, performance management, and workplace policies. Develop onboarding and training processes that promote consistency, accountability, and employee success. Support recruitment and hiring for key positions, including leadership and management roles. Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors, managers, and employees on workplace and performance matters. Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR or human resources leadership experience. Experience developing employees, supervisors, or managers and creating opportunities for advancement. Experience developing or improving HR policies, procedures, training programs, or organizational structures. Experience with employee relations, HR compliance, and performance management. Construction industry experience is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and work directly with ownership and employees at all levels.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment compliance. Ability to build HR programs and processes from the ground up. Strong understanding of employee development, leadership development, and succession planning. Ability to identify organizational gaps and implement practical solutions. Strong coaching and mentoring skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related systems.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
