Job Description

Human Resources Manager | Direct Hire | Shelby Township, MI Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to build and lead their HR department. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys creating structure, developing processes, and establishing best practices. The HR Manager will build the foundation of the company's internal HR function, support employees and leadership, and help shape the future of HR within the organization.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Onsite with the ability to work remotely as needed
What You'll Do:
Build and implement HR processes, policies, procedures, and systems from the ground up. Manage employee relations, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, and day-to-day HR operations. Develop and maintain compliance programs, employee handbook, and workplace safety initiatives. Research and implement a new payroll system while supporting payroll processes. Partner with leadership to provide HR guidance and drive best practices.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a standalone or leadership role. Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, and policy development. Experience with recruiting; CDL/truck driver recruiting experience is a plus. OSHA and workplace safety knowledge required; multi-state compliance experience preferred. Confident communicator who can independently manage HR initiatives and professionally influence leadership.

From $80,000.00 per year
