Job Description

The HR Manager at Forsman Farms will serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and staff, responsible for overseeing all human resources functions for production operations. This role will ensure the effective management of recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and organizational development to support plant-based business goals and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities Recruitment & Staffing:
Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation for all positions plant related.
Employee Relations:
Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting open communication between management and staff.
Compliance:
Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and industry standards, specifically those relevant to food production and agriculture.
Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance review processes, set objectives with department heads, and support employee development and training initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
Oversee site payroll, benefits programs, and compensation planning.
Health & Safety:
Collaborate with Safety and Training Specialist to promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements within plant operations.
Policy Development:
Create, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across the site.
Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including attendance, leaves, and disciplinary actions.
Organizational Development:
Support company growth through workforce planning, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
Culture & Engagement:
Drive employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and activities that reinforce company values and culture. Requirements Progressive HR experience, ideally within manufacturing, agriculture, or food production sectors. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Experience with Paylocity HRIS systems is a plus. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
