- This position is eligible for_ telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) _for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a state bordering Minnesota, you must live within 50 miles or less from the primary work location to be eligible for telework.
- _ The Senior Director of Talent Management and Development partners closely with the organization's performance management function to integrate performance data, insights, and identify development needs into talent management, learning, leadership development, and workforce development strategies, while fostering a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring the workforce is equipped to meet the organization's current and future needs.
- Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- + Incorporating performance evaluation data and trends, spearheading employee retention initiatives, and supervising the training and development programs across the agency.
- All DHS Leaders are expected to demonstrate and develop the five (5) competency themes from the

- _•Demonstrated leadership experience: Leadership experience can include: + Experience as a supervisor, leadworker, team lead, project lead; + Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.
- experience must include: + 1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions + 100+ hours per year time commitment AND Five (5) years of combined employee engagement and talent management/strategy experience.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Experience in facilitating employee orientations and trainings. + Experience establishing ongoing feedback structures with customers or community to inform organizational strategies and decisions. + Knowledge of State government functions and organization. + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
