Law Firm Business/Human Resources Manager Lowther Johnson Attorneys at Law, a well-established law firm in Springfield, Missouri, seeks a Business/Human Resources Manager experienced in a wide range of administrative and executive support duties. The qualified candidate will be an energetic individual who can wear multiple hats and work independently with little or no supervision, while enjoying the administrative challenges of supporting an office with diverse personalities. The Office Manager will ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety. The successful candidate will have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets, and databases), including Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. Ultimately, the Business/Human Resources Manager should ensure the smooth running of the office across all day-to-day operations. Compensation commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Responsible for managing office services by ensuring office operations and procedures are organized, supply requisitions are reviewed and approved, and staffing functions and needs are properly met. Develops and implements office policies by establishing procedures and standards to guide office operations. Project Management, review, and analysis: Keeps the Managing Member and other Members properly informed. Directly supervises the Administration team of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Front Desk Assistant. Operates as a backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and provides relevant financial reports as needed. Manages relationships with office vendors and service providers. Assists with completing contracts and business and professional insurance renewals. Maintains office condition and arranges necessary repairs. Consults with the IT Department when ordering equipment. Responsible for all Human Resources functions, including employee lifecycle management, Benefits, Employee Relations, Training, and HRIS management. Provide general support to clients as needed. Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data and information. Plan in-house or off-site activities. Skills Proven experience as an Office Manager, Front Desk Manager, or Administrative Assistant. Knowledge of office administration responsibilities, systems, and procedures. Knowledge of Human Resources Management practices and procedures. Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook) Practical experience with office equipment. Knowledge of administrative management practices and procedures in accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment. A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements. Proven experience managing 50+ employees Requirements 5 years of relevant office management or executive assistant experience. 2 years of active Human Resources management experience. Human Resources PHR or SHRM certification. Payroll and 401K experience is a plus.
