Executive Vice President Position Summary Kao Specialties Americas LLC (KSA) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Manager, Human Capital Development, to help shape and execute our human capital strategy. As a strategic partner to leadership, this position will lead and support efforts related to talent management, workforce and succession planning, organizational development, employee engagement, and culture. The role will focus on building organizational capability, strengthening the employee experience, and ensuring human capital initiatives align with KSA's business objectives, The Kao Way , and our corporate values. Key Responsibilities Strategic Alignment
- Develop and implement Human Capital strategies and initiatives that align with KSA's business objectives, organizational priorities, and workforce needs.
- Utilize workforce data and analytics to identify trends and provide informed recommendations related to performance, employee engagement, recruitment, training and development, workforce planning, and compensation.
- Monitor organizational and team structures to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness; recommend and support implementation of solutions to optimize organizational performance.
- Serve as a key point of contact for Human Capital Development leadership, providing regular updates regarding business needs, workforce trends, progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Support organizational changes, workforce transitions, and business initiatives by providing Human Capital guidance, communication support, and change management strategies. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Partner with leaders in administering policies, programs, and initiatives designed to foster a positive, productive, and engaging work environment.
- Analyze employee data and workforce trends to identify potential concerns, emerging issues, and opportunities; develop preventative strategies and advise the Management Committee on recommended actions.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on Human Capital matters, ensuring alignment with company policies, practices, values, and business objectives.
- Oversee and conduct employee relations investigations, as appropriate, and partner with Kao Compliance on complex, sensitive, or high-risk matters.
- Maintain current knowledge of KSA's organizational structure, workforce, employment policies, and applicable federal and state employment laws.
- Partner with leaders to analyze, interpret, and communicate Employee Engagement Survey results; work with the Management Committee to develop, implement, and monitor meaningful action plans.
- Promote KSA's culture, values, and employee experience initiatives throughout the organization.
- Support the organization's diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. Talent Development, Performance & Learning
- Partner with leaders on performance management matters, including coaching, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and disciplinary actions, as appropriate.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's performance management process, evaluating effectiveness and recommending enhancements.
- Partner with leaders on organizational development, workforce planning, succession planning, performance management strategies, and talent development initiatives.
- Identify current and anticipated skill and capability gaps and partner with department leaders to develop appropriate recruitment, development, and workforce strategies.
- Assess training and development needs in partnership with department leaders and implement solutions to address identified capability gaps.
- Manage the annual Performance Management Review process, including partnering with the Management Committee to establish the company-wide communication plan, timeline, expectations, and deadlines.
- Monitor and track completion of employee performance reviews and provide guidance and support to leaders throughout the process. Workforce Planning & Transitions
- Identify workforce-related risks, integration requirements, organizational impacts, and compliance considerations associated with workforce transitions.
- Partner with appropriate leaders to support employee onboarding, communication planning, workforce data collection, policy alignment, and transition activities.
- Support the integration of new work sites or employee populations into KSA's Human Capital programs, systems, benefits, performance management processes, policies, and organizational culture.
- Develop and support retention and change management strategies to promote successful workforce transitions and integration.
- Partner with leadership to identify critical roles, assess organizational talent needs, and support succession planning efforts to strengthen organizational continuity.
Job Descriptions & Compensation Analysis:
- Partner with leaders to develop, review, and maintain job descriptions that accurately reflect job responsibilities, qualifications, organizational structure, and business requirements.
- Provide guidance to leaders to promote appropriate job alignment and internal consistency across the organization.
- Conduct compensation market analyses to assess the competitive positioning of company jobs and provide recommendations regarding alignment within KSA's compensation structure.
- Support compensation planning activities through market data analysis, internal equity review, and workforce-related recommendations.
New Hire & Employee Onboarding:
- Maintain current knowledge of company benefits, policies, organizational structure, and operations to effectively support new employee onboarding.
- Provide oversight of the new hire and onboarding process to promote consistency, efficiency, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
- Partner with department leaders to develop and continuously improve onboarding processes that support business needs and accelerate successful employee integration.
- Ensure onboarding practices remain aligned with company policies and applicable employment requirements. Compliance & Administration
- Ensure applicable Human Capital training and development programs comply with company requirements and relevant regulatory obligations.
- Serve as KSA Human Capital Development's primary contact with Kao Global for designated compliance, DEI, workforce planning, and other global Human Capital initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate training, development, and Human Capital records and reporting documentation.
- Lead preparation of the company personnel budget in partnership with appropriate leadership, incorporating workforce plans, anticipated staffing needs, compensation considerations, and other personnel-related assumptions.
- Manage relationships with external training vendors, consultants, and educational partners.
- Participate in Human Capital policy development, review, communication, implementation, and ongoing administration. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Talent Management, or a related Human Capital discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, or significant program management experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or delivering employee learning and development programs.
- Experience supporting employee engagement surveys, analyzing results, identifying organizational trends, and partnering with leaders to develop and implement meaningful action plans.
- Experience supporting performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and employee relations activities.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret workforce data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships and provide guidance to leaders at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Human Resources certification, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR, preferred.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization and supporting multiple locations or business functions.
- Experience with organizational development, succession planning, and talent review processes.
- Experience conducting compensation market analysis and supporting compensation planning.
- Experience managing or supporting organizational change, workforce integrations, acquisitions, reorganizations, or other significant workforce transitions.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership on employee engagement strategies and action planning.
Work Environment Office-based role with occasional travel to company locations and training events. Ability to conduct training sessions and facilitate meetings both in-person and virtually.
