We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven, and results-oriented Workforce Partnership Manager to lead and coordinate the Iredell Ready Workforce Collaborative. Iredell Ready is a county-wide workforce initiative led by Iredell County Economic Development in partnership with our public school districts, community college, workforce development board, Iredell County. This position is a 24-month contract funded position , through a grant from MyFutureNC and is part of the AttainmentNC Cohort initiative. Our interest is to create a sustainable funding model to support the position beyond the 24-month grant period as a full-time position. Focused on Career & Employer-Connected Learning through practical experiences, AttainmentNC will prioritize economically disadvantaged high school students as a required adult learning population. This work is directly aligned with the goals of Governor Stein's Council on Workforce and Apprenticeships which addresses statewide labor shortages, and expands opportunity for North Carolinians most disconnected from the workforce. The ideal candidate is skilled at facilitating partnerships, managing complex initiatives, and maintaining momentum across multiple projects. They are comfortable working independently while coordinating the efforts of many partners. They bring strong organizational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities while remaining focused on long-term objectives. Position Overview The Workforce Partnership Manager serves as the primary coordinator and relationship-builder for the Iredell Ready collaborative and Iredell County's participation in AttainmentNC. Working alongside education, business, workforce, government, and community partners, this role helps align efforts that increase career awareness, expand career-connected learning opportunities, strengthen workforce pathways, and improve postsecondary attainment outcomes. This position serves as a neutral convener and collaborative leader who advances shared priorities, supports implementation of workforce initiatives, and ensures progress toward measurable outcomes that benefit both learners and employers. This is a full-time contract position located onsite in Mooresville, NC , funded through a 24-month MyFutureNC AttainmentNC grant. The position reports to the President & CEO of the Iredell County Economic Development Corporation and works closely with the Iredell Ready Core Team and community partners. Key ResponsibilitiesPartnership Development & Collaborative Coordination Coordinate and support the Iredell Ready Core Team and Iredell Ready Leadership Council. Facilitate meetings, partner communications, and implementation activities. Foster collaboration, transparency, accountability, and shared ownership among stakeholders. Participate in AttainmentNC cohort meetings, coaching sessions, and statewide convenings. Organize and engage cross-sector partners around workforce and educational attainment priorities. Workforce Pathways & Employer Engagement Lead implementation of Iredell Ready and AttainmentNC workforce strategies. Recruit and support employer participation in career-connected learning initiatives. Expand opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, mentoring, and job shadowing programs. Coordinate employer roundtables and sector partnerships aligned with workforce needs. Support the development of workforce pathways and credential attainment opportunities. Community Outreach & Talent Development Partner with Iredell EDC Existing Manager, Iredell-Statesville Schools, Mooresville Graded School District, Mitchell Community College, Centralina Workforce Development Board, workforce agencies, and community organizations. Increase awareness of local career opportunities through presentations, events, and outreach efforts. Engage untapped talent populations and connect individuals to education, training, and employment opportunities. Support career fairs, workforce initiatives, and community engagement activities across the county. Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track progress toward local workforce goals and AttainmentNC commitments. Coordinate quarterly updates, annual reports, and performance measurement activities. Collect, analyze, and communicate workforce data, outcomes, and success stories. Use data insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. Sustainability & Resource Development Develop sustainability strategies to support workforce initiatives beyond the grant period. Assist with grant development, sponsorship opportunities, and employer investment efforts. Align workforce initiatives with broader education, workforce, and economic development priorities. Support long-term planning and resource development efforts for Iredell Ready. Marketing & Communications Collaborate with the Iredell EDC Communications Manager and Core Team on outreach strategies and messaging. Provide regular communications and updates to partners and stakeholders. Leverage digital media, website content, and storytelling opportunities to highlight workforce initiatives and impact. Coordinate messaging associated with Iredell Ready's participation in AttainmentNC. Success in this role will be measured by: Strengthening and expanding cross-sector partnerships. Increased employer engagement and participation. Growth in career-connected learning and work-based learning opportunities. Expanded workforce pathways and credential attainment. Increased participation among targeted and untapped talent populations. Successful implementation of AttainmentNC goals and initiatives. Development of a sustainable funding and operational strategy beyond the grant period. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. Experience managing partnerships, programs, collaborative initiatives, or workforce development efforts. Demonstrated knowledge of career-connected learning, workforce development, education-to-career pipelines, or related systems. Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions.
